Course Title

 Instrument Rating Instructor IRI (A) ME

              IRI (A) ME              

 

Course Objective

The aim of this course is to train airplane license holders to the level of proficiency necessary for the issue of an IRI (A) rating. The Course shall be designed to give the applicant adequate training in ground and flying instructional techniques based upon established teaching methods .

Prerequisite/ Pre entry


1.    An applicant for an IRI (A) rating shall have CPL multi-engine IR (A).

2.    If an applicant for an IRI (A) rating has CPL single-engine IR (A), he is required a multi-engine IR(A) course shall comprise at

least (40) hours instrument time under instruction of which up to (25) hours may be instrument ground time in a FNPT I, or up to (15) hours in a flight simulator or FNPT II. with the agreement of CARC not more than (10) hours of FNPT II or flight simulator instrument ground time may be conducted in a FNPT I. The remaining instrument flight instruction shall include at least (15) hours in multi-engine airplanes.

 An applicant for an IRI (A) rating shall have:

  •  Completed at least (800) hours flight time under IFR, of which at least (400) hours shall be in airplanes.

  •  Successfully completed at an approved FTO.
